Join Katie in her cutting garden to choose your own flowers to make a beautiful and naturally styled hand tied bouquet.
The workshop will start with a walk around the cutting beds where Katie will talk about the plants and how she grows. Then, weather and conditions permitting, we hope that you will be able to choose and cut some of your own flowers that will be used in your arrangement. At this time of year, depending on our own supply we may supplement with flowers from some of the larger British growers, so some flowers will be ready cut and conditioned for you to choose. Once you have picked your flowers, you will sit back with a cup of coffee whilst your flowers condition in water, and Katie will give a demonstration on creating the hand-tied bouquet.
It’s then your turn to get creative, with Katie on hand to help and guide. Each bouquet will be unique as you will all have chosen different materials. Katie will guide you through choosing your flowers and foliages and how to place them, helping you with conditioning techniques and then the arranging process.
All materials will be provided. Please wear clothes suitable for the weather including a jacket as the workshop is much cooler than outside, and footwear suitable for walking around the garden.
Numbers will be limited to 6 attendees so that we all have plenty of space to work. We will be in the floral workshop on the farm, with plenty of ventilation. The workshop is unheated so please wear clothes and footwear appropriate for the weather.
